Jamberry

The one thing about summer I absolutely love is playing with all kinds of fun nail designs. Something about being in the sun and all the fun outfits puts me in the mood to paint my toes and nails. Plus, if I could go barefoot everywhere I would. I was introduced to Jamberry last year when I had my first party. I despise having in home parties, but I was desperate to try them so I said why not.

I was skeptical at first. I thought you heat this wrap up with a blow dryer and put it on your nails, no way it is going to stay. I was drawn in by all the options and designs though and you will never know how something works for you until you try it. So, I did and I was proven wrong. I will say this, your first time is not going to be perfect! It does take some time to get used to. I was a hot mess my first time. I cut myself and went crazy with the blow dryer, but I loved the results I got and the options to mix and match designs. Also, my nail beds are very curved, which makes application a little more tedious than someone with a flatter nail bed. It does take me a little longer to get a good seal around my whole nail, but it is totally worth it.

I am an artistic person I would say, but nail design is one thing I was never good at. I was stuck with just one color unless I wanted to pay to get my nails done.  With Jamberry, 1 sheet of wraps will last me about 3 manicures, sometimes more if I mix and match. If you think, the cost of a sheet of wraps is $15 and you can get 2-3 uses out of it…. that is $7.50-$5 a manicure! Heck of a deal and so within my budget. My problem was that I wanted them all. WARNING, they are addicting and you will want a ton of different wraps.

For a while I stopped using them. I did not know anyone that sold them and life just got the best of me. I just painted my nails for the first time last week in almost 6 months if that gives you a clue. A while back I had met the lovely Halley through Instagram, noticing a trend, and she sent me a sample of some of my favorite designs I have seen yet. Fast forward to last week, I pulled out my nail polish and my Jamberry samples and vowed to never have boring nails all summer. The first step, the “7 Day Chip Challenge”. I did it a little different than most. I still applied 1 accent nail of Jamberry to each hand, but I took it one step further and on one hand I applied the recommended 2 coats of polish with a top coat and the other hand I just did one coat with no top coat. I am currently on day 5 of my challenge and of course my Jamberry is holding strong! My polish on the other hand is a hot mess.
